Kroka Expeditions, in conjunction with Nahual Expediciones, is pleased to offer an expanded array of school program trips to Ecuador!

We envision these trips as an opportunity for students and teachers to understand Ecuadorian culture and enjoy its beautiful natural environments. To attain this we offer two 14-day trips and one 12-day trip. All trips start and end in Palugo farm. This is our base camp and resting nest after expeditions. All our trips focus on a cultural experience through community service, local crafts and experiencing Palugo farm and its projects.  We like to have meaningful hands-on projects that would help students connect with traditions and the area.  Service projects are with communities and families we have worked with through the years.

Base Camp: PALUGO FARM Sustainability. Earth skills.

Ecuador School trips Trip 1: Andes and cloud forest journey. 12 day Trip Information • Trip duration: 12 days • Focus: farm work, crafts, service, optional community family stay • Recommended grades: 8th grade and up • General flow: Palugo farm - San Clemente community - Intag cloud forest - Palugo farm • Special visits: thermal pools and Quito Old town • Cost: $145/day/person

Trip 2: Andes-Coastal adventure. 14 day Trip Information • Trip duration: 14 days • Focus: farm work, crafts, coastal life and community work • Recommended grades: 8th grade and up • General flow: Palugo farm- Tongorachi Reserve -Palugo farm • Special visits: thermal pools and Quito Old town • Cost: $145/day/person

Trip 3: Andes-Amazon expedition. 14 day Trip Information • Trip duration: 14 days • Focus: farm work, crafts, rafting, trekking, community work • Recommended grades: 10th grade and up • General flow: Palugo farm- Jatun Yaku River – Shiwacocha Community - Palugo farm. • Special visits: thermal pools and Quito Old town • Cost: $145/day/person
