Hannah Billian
Development Assistant, Educator

Joined Kroka: 2016

Education: MS Student – Leadership for Sustainability: University of Vermont, BS – Environmental Studies/Biology: Warren Wilson College

Bio: Hannah was a student of the Kroka semester program in 2007, and has been involved in the organization since that time. She was responsible for running Kroka’s semester school for three years, and now works part time for the organization in Fundraising and Development work, as well as managing the campus bike fleet and summer biking programs. Hannah is a certified Bicycle Mechanic, and spends as much time as possible riding on dirt roads or trails on her trusty gravel and mountain bikes.

Favorite things about Kroka: I think that one of the best things we do at Kroka is integrating community service into every program. Teaching students to give of themselves with time, energy, and physical work is powerful and important.

Personal Passions: Mountain biking, gravel biking, and long bikepacking trips! Also xc skiing, pond hockey, reading, baking sourdough bagels, and finding ways to be an activist and work towards social change in my local community.
