Farmer-Educator

 Full-Time, Year-Round

Our Farm

The Kroka farm is the homeplace for our programs. People who come to Kroka develop a lasting relationship with the land that contributes to feeling at home in nature. Learn more about our farm here.

Our Land

Kroka’s campus is situated at 1300 feet in the hill country of southwest New Hampshire. Our land includes 75 acres of working forest and 25 acres of open pasture spanning both sides of state highway 123. Learn more about our land here.

The Opportunity

Kroka’s farm is currently at a transition point. The small farm operation has grown alongside the organization over the past 20 years and is ready for someone who can take it forward with passion and vision. The gardens are fertile and growing at the right scale for our educational mission. The pasturelands are currently leased to a neighboring farm for grazing and haymaking through spring 2027. We are looking to reinstate Kroka’s own livestock program over the coming year to include a combination of chickens, cattle, pigs, sheep and/or goats. There is infrastructure and opportunity for micro-dairy production in the future. We intend to grow the livestock operation in line with the carrying capacity of the land. The farmer will join Kroka’s stewardship circle to plan and care for the land in keeping with Kroka’s mission.
