Adirondack Expedition

Adirondack Expedition

Sun, Jul 11, 2027 - Sat, Jul 31, 2027  (21 days)
  Ages: 15 - 18

Just across Lake Champlain lies the legendary Adirondack Mountains - a park bigger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, and Rocky Mountain National Parks combined. This year these mountains will be home to our three-week river expedition with a brand-new itinerary. Beginning high in the mountains, we will paddle past otter slides on the Raquette River as we canoe from Old Forge to Lake Champlain following ancient trade routes and the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Weaving in and out of the wilderness we will visit the Wild Center, Six Nations Iroquois Museum, and Paul Smith’s College.  From the Moose River Plains Wild Forest to the St. Regis Canoe Wilderness, we’ll sing the sun up in the morning and sleep under a blanket of stars.  Highlights include climbing to the top of a Fire Tower, visiting secret swimming spots, and paddling through breathtaking scenery from flatwater up through Class III rapids.
