Krokaraft

Krokaraft

Sun, Jun 27, 2027 - Sat, Jul 03, 2027  (7 days)
  Ages: 14 - 18

An introductory whitewater paddling program for older students, we will use Kroka’s fleet of rafts and catarafts to access some of the most exciting whitewater in New England. After two days on the farm building our team and honing our expedition skills, we will establish a remote basecamp that we’ll use to exciting runs that span from quickwater through class III-IV rapids. We will learn manage risk in the river environment and execute simple rescue techniques for when things don’t go as planned.  Back at the campsite we will learn to cook over the open fire, tell time by the sun, and make home in the forest. This expedition is a perfect introduction to living outdoors for young adults who are new to Kroka, and a great excuse for seasoned Kroka paddlers to gain experience with whitewater rafting.
