Kroka’s sister school, Nahual Expediciones is situated at 8,000 ft. in the village of Pifo, located 25 kilometers east of Ecuador’s capital, Quito. Home to the Dammer family who have been a part of the Kroka community for over 20 years, Palugo Farm and Nahual offer children, adolescents, and adults a space to experience and learn through organic farming, ecological building, permaculture, adventure sports, and wilderness living.
The first fully certified organic dairy in Ecuador, Palugo Farm runs a 30-person CSA providing nourishing vegetables, milk, and cheese to their local community each week. Both farmers and premier mountaineers, climbers, mountain bikers and guides, the Dammer family bring immense wilderness and technical experience to our community. Though programs in Ecuador are not offered every year, Nahual and Kroka work in partnership with one another to create unique cross-cultural experiences for students of varying ages.
